AB 1466 Restraint and Seclusion Data Disclosure
Pursuant to California Education Code Section 49006, as amended by Assembly Bill 1466, Lake View Charter School is dedicated to transparency regarding behavioral management in our educational environment.
Existing law limits the use of restraint and seclusion by school personnel, utilizing them only as emergency safety responses when a student's behavior poses clear, immediate danger. Public education data requires annual data collections for mechanical restraints, physical restraints, and student seclusions.
Annual restraint and seclusion records for our local educational agency (LEA), including aggregated and disaggregated demographic tracking, can be found publicly via the California Department of Education Restraint and Seclusion Data Page.
