Do your schools participate in testing?
Yes! Our schools offer Renaissance STAR 360 assessments 3x per year for all of our students. We appreciate the STAR 360’s ability to gauge where children are academically. Parents can receive a detailed report highlighting areas in which their children are thriving, or areas they might need to focus on specifically. We participate in STAR 360: Online Reading and Math Assessment, ELPAC: English Language Proficiency Assessments for California, PFT: California Physical Fitness Test, SBAC: (Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium) California state tests in language arts and math, and the CAST: California Science Test.

What curriculum options do Feather River families have?
HSTs (Homeschool Teachers) partner with families to create an individualized lesson plan. This lesson plan ideally will reflect the family's vision for homeschooling, including the curriculum to reflect the needs of each family. Most secular curriculums could be ordered and used by Lake View families.
