Do your schools participate in testing?
Yes! Here in California, charter schools like ours are evaluated using the California School Dashboard, which serves as a report card for all public schools and among other metrics, tracks student achievement and growth through standardized testing. Standardized testing is the key metric the state uses to evaluate charter schools during the renewal process.

What is the difference between Clarksville, Feather River, and Lake View?
That's a great question! Sequoia Grove Charter Alliance is comprised of three schools, authorized out of varying districts, who operate under a shared vision and mission. Clarksville, Feather River, and Lake View share programs, resources, and staffing. A student's educational experience is largely the same at each school and our programs and classes are open to students at all three schools.
Which school a family attends depends on the county in which they reside. Please note our schools do not always share teachers. If you have a specific teacher in mind, please confirm which school the teacher is employed by.
Clarksville is our only school providing an in-person lending library. The Lending Library is located in El Dorado Hills and is open to Clarksville families exclusively. Students at Feather River and Lake View Charter Schools may still enjoy Lending Library Resources through our Mobile Lending Library.

Curriculum
- What curriculum options do Lake View families have?

- Can I use a religious curriculum?
What curriculum options do Lake View families have?
HSTs (Homeschool Teachers) partner with families to create an individualized lesson plan. This lesson plan ideally will reflect the family's vision for homeschooling, including the curriculum to reflect the needs of each student. Most secular curriculums could be ordered and used by Clarksville families.
